One Direction Have Dragged Me Down To The Fiery Pits Of Hell

So basically, One Direction randomly released a song a few hours ago and it is 100% not okay.

If you haven’t heard One Direction’s new single, you’re officially stuck at least three hours in the past.

It was on July 31, 2015 that the boys dropped a bomb on their poor, unsuspecting fans, a bomb we now know as “Drag Me Down”, the first single from their newest album (which we have yet to learn the name of).

Just ten minutes after its release, it hit #2 on the US iTunes charts and continued to climb charts all across the globe. As of this moment, “Drag Me Down” is #1 in 55 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Finland and so many more! [source]

Need I mention it has only been three hours since the song was released on iTunes?

Offering up a prayer for those who aren’t over FOUR yet, for those who are just now waking up to the chaos, and those who have yet to wake up. May you all be blessed with mature vocals and the ability to remain sane afterwards.

Now, if you haven’t yet listened to the song, you should go buy it on iTunes here. Or you can listen to it for free here on Spotify.

If you have listened to the song and want to help promote it (oh, who am I kidding? Of course you want to help promote it!), here’s how you can:

  • Request “Drag Me Down” at your local radio stations by either calling in, tweeting them, hitting them up on Facebook, or requesting on their website. Don’t forget to mention that it’s One Direction’s new single!
  • Tell everyone you know about the single — your friend, your mom, your aunt, your grandpa, your dog, everyone. EVERYONE.
  • Play it out loud as much as possible. It’ll be a great conversation starter. (“Hey, can you turn that down?” “BUY DRAG ME DOWN ON ITUNES.”)
  • Leave the iTunes page for the single up on iPads, iPhones and/or iPods at the Apple Store.
  • Gift it to people.
  • Buy it, of course.
  • Talk about it. A lot.

That’s all I can think of for now, but there are plenty of ways. These are just guidelines. (Most of them, at least.)

Fans’ reactions to the song have been absolutely superb.
